The Ultimate Guide to
- The 'Print' settings in Adobe Reader (can't do this from OneNote). In Adobe, go to FilePrint. Set Name field to 'Send to OneNote 2007'. Select Landscape. In the Page Handling section, the settings I have are: Page Scaling set to 'None'. Also 'Auto-Rotate and Center' and 'Choose Paper Source by PDF page size' are both.
- Send to OneNote. Taking notes in class can be very stressful if your professor is going through PowerPoint slides very quickly. Not only do you have to write down what’s on the slides, but you also have to write down anything else the professor says. OneNote solves that issue!
Access to a printer seems less common these days. After all, we’re in the digital age, right? Taking notes on a PowerPoint deck is a great way to align your notes as a presentation is being given, but having access to a printer isn’t always an option.
In OneNote, you’re able to import PowerPoint slides into your notepad and type away your notes!
Check out the video above and steps below to learn more:
Some of the slides in presentations I watch are worthless and I don't want to have them in my notes. Others only contain a tiny bit of information so I hand type them. The copy and paste of individual slides into a 2 cell table lets me mark up the slide all I want and type anything I don't mark up in the box next to it.
- In OneNote, create a notepad where you want to import your PowerPoint slides. You can also import the slides on a notepad you may already have created.
- In PowerPoint, go to File.
- Select Print.
- Under Printer, click the drop down menu and select Send ToOneNote 2013 (or 2016 depending on your version).
- Select the slides you’d like to import. You can import all of them, or select specific slides you need.
- Click Print when you’re ready to import.
- Go back to OneNote and you’ll see that you’re prompted to select the location you want to insert your slides.
- Click OK and your slides will appear.
- To take notes, select the area where you want to type, and start typing.

I've had the same problem since August, too. Here's the solution: Alter
the 'Print' settings in Adobe Reader (can't do this from OneNote).
In Adobe, go to File>Print. Set Name field to 'Send to OneNote 2007'.
Hit Properties. Select Landscape. Hit 'Ok'.
In the Page Handling section, the settings I have are: Page Scaling set
to 'None'. Also 'Auto-Rotate and Center' and 'Choose Paper Source by PDF
page size' are both unchecked. Hit 'Ok', and it should refresh in
Three settings are available:
1. Page Scaling (found in File>Print>Page Handling).
2. 'Auto-Rotate' check box (same place).
3. Orientation check box (Printer section>Properties).
